If its a metal inclosure, make sure that everything is still properly isolated. I am using the serial port and the cable is good. I went through all the "Troubleshooting the DeskCNC controller instructions" on the web, and everything in this thread, and still cannot get the controller to be detected. When I start the controller, the "heart" light on the board stays lit(continuously)indicating that the controller needs to be reprogrammed, but when I start the software I continue to get a "controller not detected" message, followed by a DeskCNC error message "Access violation at address 00403953 in module 'deskcnc.exe. I just moved the components into a new enclosure. I had my system up and running fine for the past several months. I have attempted to isolate the problem solving to just those things that affect the controller at each step of the way from hardware to software. It is linked directly here and also on the IMService DeskCNC web page at Īlong the left column with other documentation links. It explains the why's and wherefores and how-to's of trouble shooting the controller. The following link is a pdf file that is a step by step trouble shooting procedure for the DeskCNC controller card. IMService Discussion Forum: DeskCNC troubleshooting Document
